The Bengals (Turbo and Tiger Lily) are 13 months old now, and Fleur is 11 months. The Bengals have certainly lived up to their reputation. They are active, curious, and love to play. It seems that as they get older, they get into more trouble. They are very affectionate, friendly to visitors, and like to hang out where we are. They are not really lap cats, although Turbo will sit in our laps at times. He is really a sweety.
They have trained us to not leave food out, to keep our office doors and closet closed, and to protect flowers and plants.
Tiger Lily has been an experience. Shortly after we got her,
we were finding messes on the floor and didn't know which cat.
Finally I caught Tiger Lily. We took a stool sample to the vet and he
said she had spirochetes, which could be a sign of giardia.
We gave her antibiotics for a week and took in another sample.
It was clean. Since then, no messes on the carper, but Tiger Lily has changed.
She is more active than Turbo, and more agressive toward the other
cats. She chases Amelia, Fleur, and even Turbo. We don't like it,
but there is nothing we can do. The other cats don't trust her, and
she sleeps alone a lot, but at other times she will be sitting
or sleeping with the others.
